Each Sunset Amazes Me

Here's yet another. The beauty of God's creation continues to touch my heart in a very special way. Each sunset is unique. Painted by the master for the joy of his creation.

The Results Are In...

After long consideration, we have named him Jake.

We laugh at how insistent he can be about his share of attention. Michael and I were playing cards last night and Jake decided it was his turn for attention. He slowly slid up next to Mike and placed his paw on his leg. Michael started petting him while I dealt. As soon as Mike reached for the cards, Jake would lay his paw back on his leg. Eventually he simply laid his paw on top of the cards and pulled them under him. It was his turn! We laughed and he got the attention he desired.

New Member of Our Family

We're pleased to introduce___________________ (suggestions welcome), the newest member of our family. We adopted him today and he's quickly making himself at home. He's an adult male, yellow lab. He came to the shelter as a stray but knows sit, stay / release and shake. Though he would obviously have preferred to be elsewhere, he tolerated his first bath quite well. No shaking until he was out of the tub!

Another Sunset (8:56pm)

I'm still growing accustomed to the longer days. It brings back memories of Alaska: The PE van, late summer volleyball games and stops at the 7-11 for slurpies. Of course you can't forget backward runs through the drive thu. :)

For those I forgot to tell. Christina had her baby February 9th. Lynee Marie came in at 21 inches and 6lbs 11oz. (I'm going off memory on the length). Here are some of her 3 month pictures.

Montana Pictures :

Michael and I went for a hike yesterday. It was a beautiful walk along the water. Here are some pictures I took along the way.

This is a sunset from our deck.
