New Member of Our Family

We're pleased to introduce___________________ (suggestions welcome), the newest member of our family. We adopted him today and he's quickly making himself at home. He's an adult male, yellow lab. He came to the shelter as a stray but knows sit, stay / release and shake. Though he would obviously have preferred to be elsewhere, he tolerated his first bath quite well. No shaking until he was out of the tub!

Sit Down. Lie Down. Stay Down. Come Down. Quiet Down...... seems pretty practical to me!

On the more aesthetic side, Copper
    Ivanhoe, Prince

Or on the more probable side (at least part of the time) Dufus, Dog, Puppy

Do you want me to keep thinking/suggesting?

  • From Tina. . .

Jana says "Clifford" is a good name for him. . . even if he isn't red! ;) Jarod's at school so, I'll reply later with a comment from him. Personally I'm thinking something like "Sunny, Sonny" Whatever spelling?!?!? Remember when you helped us go get Ginger? Of course she was quite a bit smaller. I don't think this pup could fit his butt into a ziploc!

  • You can name him after me, Doofus, Dork or Brat.

  • Twinkie is a name to give him longevity - since they have a shelf life of 26 years :-) ...and he is yellow/white.

  • From Tina:
Jarod think's Max is a good name for him. I can't help but agree. He kinda looks like a Max. :)

  • How cute! Looks as if he will be a great addition. This may seem too "sweet", but I once had a dog (part golden retriever) named Honeyboy!
